VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - Thirteen proprietors of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Catanduanes graduated from the online learning program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) last October 16.
Kapatid Mentor Me - Money and Market Encounter (KMME-MME) online training program is a joint project of the DTI and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship’s (PCE) Go Negosyo which is among the interventions being implemented by the government to help MSMEs amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The mentees finished modules covering several topics, namely: Entrepreneurial Mindsetting and Values Formation, Marketing, Product Development, Business Model Canvas, Operations Management, Supply and Value Chain, Human Resource Management, Financial Accounting and Financial Management, Taxation and Business Law. After finishing the modules, the mentees presented a Business Improvement Plan (BIP).

Elena, Virac; Lyus Bartolome (Sofiem’s Food Products) Pandan; Sarah Jane Bermejo (Rene Bermejo Furniture Shop) Bothoan, Caramoran; Ronald Bernardo (Greg's Nuts and Cakes) Bigaa, Virac; Romeo S. Coronejo II (Canapino Bakery) Palawig, San Andres; Rosely Fernandez Frias (Rosely's Food Products Trading) Lumabao, Pandan; Russel Geromo (Geromo's Food Products) Virac; Marites Temones (Joseph Temones Meat Products) Poblacion, Baras; Marisol Teope (Pista sa Barrio Eatery & Catering Services) Poblacion, Viga; Jay Ivan Ternida (DM Bakery), Lictin San Andres; Richard Tolentino (Global Sign and Print Advertising) Sta. Cruz, Virac; Carolina Tugano Tura (Carol's Food Products) Burgos, Viga; and Leolita Valenzuela (JSE Sweets) Bagong Sirang, Baras.
Meanwhile, DTI Provincial Director Maria Belma Escueta commended the mentees for their commitment and dedication to complete the KMME-MME journey despite the various challenges brought about by the global health crisis. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
