Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

CDO eyes 3 more isolation facilities for COVID-19 patients

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Oct. 4 (PIA)--The City Government of Cagayan de Oro asked on Thursday to build more isolation facilities to accommodate the increasing cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), a press statement said Friday.

This after the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Covid-19 passed a Resolution No. 119, requesting the city to add three more isolation facilities, foreseeing that the confirmed cases will continue to increase in the city.

“Due to the continued increase in Covid-19 confirmed cases, the city has already reached the critical level on the temporary treatment and monitoring facilities,” the resolution said.

The proposed three isolation facilities amounted to P879.2 million in total and shall start its construction upon approval and availability of funds.

"Na'y proposal ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to its Central Office nga pagtukod ug tulo ka isolation facilities. Kini base sa report sa Department of Health (DOH) nga kulang ang isolation facilities sa dakbayan," Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10 Assistant Regional Director Yvette Tolentino-Sunga said during the NorMin COVID-19 Response Task Force press conference, October 2.

(There is a proposal of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to its Central Office to build three isolation facilities. This, after the Department of Health (DOH) reported that the city still lacks isolation facilities)

Among the ongoing isolation facility construction in the city include the 20-bed capacity located at mother Theresa Compound, Upper Puerto, Balubal amounting to P11.7 million. CDO targets to complete its construction, October 23. The other ongoing facility construction is the 20-bed capacity located in Macasandig with a P11.7 million budget.

As to the proposed additional isolation facilities, DPWH-10 proposed the isolation and quarantine facilities (50 units) at Maitum, Upper Puerto, with 1,000 bed capacity amounting to P785M; 4 units isolation facility at Stock Farm Lot, Placer - Sabarillo Resettlement, Barangay Balubal with 80 bed capacity amounting to P62.8M; and 2 units isolation facility at Barangay Macasandig with 40 bed capacity amounting to P31.4M.

DPWH also plans to build isolation facilities at Barangay Lunotan, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental with 37-bed capacity; Talairon, Oroquieta City, and Misamis Occidental with 90-bed capacity.

For Misamis Oriental, DOH-10 Regional Director Dr. Adriano Suba-an said since the OWWA Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital in Alubijid is really a temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF), they are looking for ways to strengthen its capacity.

He added that they are coordinating with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, DPWH, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to develop the area as it can strategically aid in COVID-19 response being able to handle 50 patients.

"DOH will still sit with MisOr LGU to determine if the facility will handle locally stranded individual (LSI)/ returning overseas Filipino (ROF) positive cases, mild or asymptomatic patients, healthcare workers’ facility or a step down facility for the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC)," Suba-an said.

With the increasing number of local transmission, Suba-an urged the local officials to learn from other areas like Cebu where the latter really pushed it to the barangay level.

"The barangays must be empowered and provided with resources. They should have active Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) as well as they must boost their TTMFs and contact tracing system. They should be guided to make everyone responsible and accountable in this time of health crisis," Suba-an added.

As of October, the region has recorded a total of 2,907 confirmed cases of COVID-19 of which 1,643 have recovered, 78 have expired, and 1,186 are recovering. (RTP/PIA10)

How To Make A Country Worship You

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

Ginusto Niyo 'Yan!

'Di kami nagkamali, we already expected those things to happen... You're making fun of our opinions pero 'di niyo magets na para 'yun sa ikabubuti ng lahat. Now, why so sudden bigla kayong nagreklamo? eh diba ginusto niyo 'yan, honestly dito samin nagsasabing nagsisisi sila sa naboto nila, for me hindi na kasalanan ng mga politiko na naloko nila kayo dahil there are so many evidences na. Pero all of you still chose to be fooled and deceived by them. But it's too late na eh nakaupo na sila sa pwesto na hindi nila deserve. Pero ito na lang... Let our response be, GINUSTO NIYO 'YAN!
