PARAΓAQUE CITY, Aug. 20 (PIA) -- The local government of Taguig continues to remind the its residents to observe the three basic health protocols in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as number of cases continues to rise.
Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano reminded the public to wear face mask when in public public places, regularly wash hands, and always observe physical distancing.
He emphasized that the minimum public health standards are in place to protect each resident from COVID-19.
Backing up the Department of Health’s recommendation, the local government unit passed the City Ordinance No.12 series of 2020 stating that everyone who goes out in public must wear a face mask.
On Wednesday, a home in Barangay Katuparan and an establishment in Barangay Palingon-Tipas was placed under a Localized Quarantine as a spike in cases was reported in the area.
The Localized Quarantine in both areas will end on September 2.
As of August 19, Taguig City has recorded a total of 3,756 COVID-19 cases. (Taguig PIO/PIA-NCR)
