New set of SLCCI officers, BODs take oath of office online

MAASIN CITY, August 17 (PIA) – A virtual oath-taking ceremony for the new set officers and members of the board of directors of the Southern Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SLCCI) was conducted recently with main venue held at the Panny’s Bakeshop at Saint Joseph College Building, this city.

Regional Governor Wilson Uy of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry based in Tacloban City, facilitated the conduct of the virtual oath-taking for the new set of officers for 2020-2021.

In his message to the said group of local businessmen, he said that during these times of COVID-19 pandemic, the economy of the country is experiencing a technical recession and the local businesses, follow suit.

Uy encouraged the businessmen to find innovations and keenly observe what is really the demand during these trying times and shift if needed.

He also called on everyone to support the local industry, support one another, as the rest of the nations are also facing the same challenges brought about by the pandemic.

“Let us buy from our local producers in the provinces, by so doing, we are helping one another,” he said adding that no businessman should be left alone during this COVID-19 crisis.

The new set of officers of the Southern Leyte Chamber and Commerce and Industry are as follows: Dr. Gloria M. Reyes, President; Mark Douglas Marte, Vice President for Internal Affairs; Jerome Nobleza, Vice President for External Affairs; Dinah Magat, Treasurer; Emily Pagangpang, Secretary; and Ma. Luisa Gonzales, Auditor.

The Board of Directors are: Epifania Sy, Chairman (former President), Emely Saavedre, Nathalie Abanes, Judima Aroy, Arnie Villareal, Jonathan Tse, Liex Sandoval, Abigail Palermo, and Walter Acasio. (ldl/esg/PIA-8 SoLeyte)

Board of Trustees and Members of Angat Pinas, Inc.

Pagbati sa mga itinalagang board members ng Angat Buhay na magsisilbing gabay at haligi ng organisasyon! Magsisilbing Chairperson ng Angat Buhay NGO si Atty. Leni Robredo; habang tatayo namang bilang President si Philip Francisco Dy. Si Raphael Martin Magno naman ang tatayong Executive Director ng organisasyon. Kabilang sa mga members of the board sina: Atty. Jose Christopher Belmonte; Joanne Baylon; Judith Azarcon-Marquez; Garrie David; Max Ventura; Rafael Lopa; at Raphael Martin Magno (Ex-officio). Tatayong Board Secretary si Atty Stella Pastores-Esquivas, at Board Treasurer naman si Camille Genuino.
