PASIG CITY, August 12 (PIA) -- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Tuesday received a donation of motorcycle crash helmets for use of the its traffic enforcers and riders.
MMDA Chairperson Danny Lim personally received the crash helmets donated by former Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal during a simple ceremony held at the MMDA Office in Makati City.
Larrazabal's donation aims to help protect the agency's motorcycle-riding traffic constables from head injuries when performing their duties on the road.
According to the MMDA, the new set of helmets are in addition to the 216 helmets previously given by the former COMELEC official.
Lim, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude to Larrazabal and said the helmets are of big help in ensuring the safety of MMDA enforcers while providing service to the public. (PIA-NCR)
