Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

DPWH, PICE ready to build quarantine facilities in Kalinga

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Aug 5 (PIA) - - Gearing up for the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is ready to construct quarantine facilities in the province  as soon as funds  are available.

The Upper and Lower District Engineering Offices (DEO) have already laid out plans and coordinated with concerned local government units (LGUs) which shall be providing the site for the project.

Upper Kalinga DEO Assistant District Engineer Teodoro Owek said   the municipalities under their coverage namely Balbalan, Lubuagan, Pasil and Tinglayan are allocated P14 million each for the construction of their own quarantine facility.

Lower Kalinga DEO OIC District Engineer Ruby Uyam   said that under their jurisdiction, Tabuk was allotted P12.2 million;  Rizal, P12.2M;  Tanudan,  12.7M;  and Pinukpuk, P 12.4M.

The plan is to build each LGU 10m x 15m three 10-beds per unit isolation facility or a total of 30 beds capacity with one unit comfort room. Both district engineers said the project will be implemented on a negotiated contract to form part of their augmentation to LGUs this pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) - Kalinga Chapter, in partnership with DPWH, is also constructing a separate 16-beds semi-permanent emergency quarantine facility at the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association grounds located at this city from donations of their members, contractors and other private individuals.

Ground preparations are ongoing, said Owek.

Aside from helping LGUs build COVID-19 facilities, some volunteer personnel of both DPWH districts serve as frontliners alternately assigning staff as augmentation team at the checkpoint in Talaca, Agbannawag. Their drivers and vehicles are also the ones delivering swab test specimens to Baguio City General Hospital and Medical Center. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)

Bakit Uto-Uto ang mga Pulahan?

Yung tipong habang tumitingin ka sa feed mo may nakita kang nag-share ng mga conspiracy theory. Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

Para sa mga Pulahan

Wala ba kayong page na nagmamahal sa inyo kaya andito kayo sa page ng mga kakampinks? :) Salamat pa rin sa pagdalaw kahit ang purpose niyo talaga ay ang ibash kami. ✌️

How To Make A Country Worship You
