CALOOCAN CITY, July 17 (PIA) -- Beginning on Thursday, July 16, select streets in Malabon City's five barangays were placed on a 15-day lockdown to curb the rise of COVID-19 cases.
Placed under localized enhance community quarantine by the Malabon Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases are:
- Block 14 A and Block 14 C in Barangay Longos
- University Avenue Extension and Guava street in Barangay Potrero
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th streets and C4 Road in Barangay Tañong
- Gozon Letre and Phase 1 in Barangay Tonsuya and

P. Concepcion and Tumariz streets in Barangay Tugatog
The lockdown will end on July 30, the task force said.
To mitigate the impacts of the lockdown, however, the local government is set to provide affected residents with relief goods and other essentials said.
As of Tuesday, Malabon City recorded a total of 936 COVID-19 cases with 76 fatalities. (PIA NCR)
