Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

QC assures quality education in public schools under the blended learning system

CALOOCAN CITY, July 23 (PIA) --Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has assured residents of quality education even under a blended system of learning which will be implemented in the coming school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Even as we shift to a blended system of learning, parents and students can expect our support to ensure quality education from our schools,” Belmonte said as she reported that 404,446 students have enrolled in the city’s 156 public schools for the coming school year

This number represents 95.38 percent of the city government’s target of around 424,000 students.

“We anticipated a low turnout this year mainly because of the concern of parents regarding the pandemic but we were pleasantly surprised with the number of enrollees,” Belmonte said.

Based on the latest report from the city Schools Division Office, elementary students (Kinder to Grade 6) account for 224,195,  while 153,145 Junior High School students (Grade 7 to 10) have signed up for the coming school year.

Meanwhile, 27,106 students have enrolled in Senior High School (Grade 11 to 12) as well as non-graded special education. The city recorded 424,042 enrollees last school year.

Education Affairs Unit Head Aly Medalla said the city still expects the numbers to climb due to the Department of Education’s late enrollment policy.

“We are glad parents decided to enroll their children since the Schools Division Office together with the city has prepared for the new learning system, which allows students to learn and attend classes from home,” Medalla said.

The Local School Board, chaired by Belmonte, approved a P2.9 billion supplemental budget for its learning continuity plan to adapt to the new normal in teaching and learning, with face-to-face classes indefinitely suspended.

Under the plan, the city will provide learning packets containing flash drives, printed modules, and school supplies for all its public school learners as well as tablets for students enrolled in junior and senior high school.

Bended learning simulations were conducted in QC’s public schools last July 6-10 where school heads along with teachers identified challenges during said trials.

Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jenilyn B. Corpuz said the Schools Division Office is currently looking at areas for improvement in preparation for the August 24 class opening. QC PAISD/PIA-NCR)

How To Make A Country Worship You

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

Ginusto Niyo 'Yan!

'Di kami nagkamali, we already expected those things to happen... You're making fun of our opinions pero 'di niyo magets na para 'yun sa ikabubuti ng lahat. Now, why so sudden bigla kayong nagreklamo? eh diba ginusto niyo 'yan, honestly dito samin nagsasabing nagsisisi sila sa naboto nila, for me hindi na kasalanan ng mga politiko na naloko nila kayo dahil there are so many evidences na. Pero all of you still chose to be fooled and deceived by them. But it's too late na eh nakaupo na sila sa pwesto na hindi nila deserve. Pero ito na lang... Let our response be, GINUSTO NIYO 'YAN!
