Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

PH Army continues to provide assistance to LSIs

PASIG CITY, July 24 (PIA) – The Philippine Army continues to provide assistance to locally stranded individuals (LSIs) currently taking temporarily shelter at the Army Wellness Center in Ft. Bonifacio, Taguig City amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we continue to reel in the effects of COVID-19 in our country, the Army will continue to care for the well-being of our stranded countrymen. With the help of different donors and partners, their needs will be prioritized as they await the availability of their flights back home to their families,” said Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay.

According to the Philippine Army, prior to accommodation, each LSI undergoes profiling to assess their pre-existing medical condition and cultural background. Those who have their non-refunded airline tickets were assessed to identify their destination and their mode of transportation before rapid testing. Meanwhile, individuals who tested positive were transported to different medical facilities such as World Trade Center and Philippine International Convention Center. Stranded individuals residing within National Capital Region were immediately accompanied to their places of residence by Army personnel.

After thorough inspection and disinfection, the LSIs were given hygiene kits, face shields, face masks, and sleeping mats before proceeding to their assigned sleeping areas. Individuals with kids were also given milk and diapers along with their food packs. Persons with disability and pregnant women were transferred to the Army General Hospital to be properly monitored.

Likewise, liaisons from different government agencies and airlines such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of the Local Interior and Local Government, Cebu Pacific Air, Air Asia, and Philippine Airlines were also situated at Army Wellness Center to ensure effective coordination between them and the LSIs.

The Army also assists in securing travel requirements for the LSIs such as medical certificate and travel authority. They are also given food packs and food augmentation by the DSWD before being sent off to their respective flight schedules.

As of July 23, 2020, the Philippine Army has accommodated a total of 4,496 LSIs with 3,805 individuals assisted in going back to their respective provinces. (Philippine Army/PIA-NCR)

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

How To Make A Country Worship You
