BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 29 (PIA) - Officials of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have reminded business establishment owners and operators in the province to follow and comply with COVID-19 health protocols to ensure the safety and security of consumers.
Henry Conel Jr., DTI provincial director said that based on their monitoring, most of the establishments such as salons, barber shops and dine-in restaurants here were not yet compliant to the minimum health protocols such as placing of footbath mat
in the entrance area, signage reminders for ‘NO mask No entry’ and lack of hygiene and sanitation protocols.
"They were advised to comply with the strict implementation of health protocols in their operations in order to ensure the safety of their workers and individual consumers," he said.
Their earlier monitoring placed at least 12 establishments on their watch list.
The DTI in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and concerned local government units is also conducting joint monitoring of dine-in restaurants and retail stores in various municipalities of the province.
Conel said the activity seeks to check the compliance of the establishments on the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Joint/DTI-Issued Guideline on Safety and Health Protocols to ensure the protection of workers and the public against the pandemic COVID-19 crisis.
