Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

CALOOCAN CITY, July 21 Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso appealed for donations to the city government in order to sustain the operations of the city's free COVID-19 walk-in and drive thru testing centers.

Donations to the city government will be used to buy more reagents needed to test more blood samples taken from patients, Domagoso said on Monday, July 20.

Domagoso said that the city's testing areas are open for both Manila City residents and non-Manila City residents as the city is promoting an inclusive approach in battling COVID-19.

"I want every Manileño to be good people to others, like how Manila is trying to be a good neighbor to other cities," Domagoso said.

"Yakapin natin lahat hanggang kaya nating yakapin lahat. We cannot survive alone. Kakayanin natin ang hamong ito," the Mayor added.

Currently, the testing area at the Quirino Grandstand has a capacity of 700 tests a day while the Lawton drive thru area has a capacity of 200 tests a day.

The two drive thru areas are scheduled to operate from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

On the same day, the Manila City government opened its first Walk-In Testing Center at the Ospital ng Sampaloc.

Like the two drive thru testing sites, the Walk-In Testing Center is also open to both Manila City residents and non-Manila City residents.

Results from the COVID-19 tests taken at these facilities are released within 24 hours by the Manila Health Department (MHD) through SMS.

Certification of the results are personally delivered to the homes of Manila City residents, while certification for non-Manila City residents will be picked up at the Releasing Lane at the Quirino Grandstand testing site. (PIO Manila/PIA-NCR)

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

How To Make A Country Worship You
