Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

Ilocos Norte records 4 new active COVID-19 cases

LAOAG CITY, July 20 (PIA) – Days after holding zero active cases, the province of Ilocos Norte informs the public that four new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were logged in on July 19.

In a statement, Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc said that there are four local residents who tested positive for COVID-19.

They are all asymptomatic.

Patient IN-C6 is a 44-year-old utility worker from Barangay Saud, Pagudpud who was assigned at a quarantine facility.

He was swab tested on July 17.

Patient IN-C7 is a 20-year-old pregnant woman from Barangay 16, Vintar who arrived from Manila and was quarantined in her municipality.

Patient IN-C8 is a 21-year-old female nurse from Barangay San Vicente, Laoag City who has a history of exposure to COVID-19 in Metro Manila.

While IN-C9 is a 24-year-old female resident of Pagudpud who travelled from Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, Laoag City Mayor Michael Marcos Keon said on July 18 that a member of the Philippine Air Force from Metro Manila, who is stationed at the Laoag International Airport, tested positive for COVID-19.

Since he is not a resident of Ilocos Norte, he is not counted as a confirmed case and not included in the official tally of the province.

Moreover, Sitios Maligaya, Kamayeng, and Jupiter of Barangay Saud, Pagudpud have been placed on lockdown.

Governor Marcos Manotoc said that the contact tracing team has identified and quarantined all contacts of the confirmed cases.

Also, the quarantine facilities where these positive cases are have been locked down.

“Thankfully, all of these cases were already in medical or quarantine facilities when they were found out to be COVID-19 positive,” the governor said.

He assured that the provincial government, local government units, medical facilities, and the Department of Health are exerting all preventive measures and health protocols.

“To further expand our testing capacity, we are currently establishing strategic swab stations across the province,” the young governor added.

The public is continuously reminded that utmost caution, consideration, and discipline are needed while the province is still under Modified General Community Quarantine.

“The discipline of one Ilocano is a protection for all Ilocanos,” he ended. (JCR/AMB/MJTAB/PIA Ilocos Norte)

Bakit Uto-Uto ang mga Pulahan?

Yung tipong habang tumitingin ka sa feed mo may nakita kang nag-share ng mga conspiracy theory. Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

How To Make A Country Worship You
