BORONGAN CITY, July 2 (PIA) – Governor Ben Evardone of Eastern Samar said he will hire provincial paid teachers to assist parents, pupils and the DepEd go about the blended learning mode in education.
"We will hire one teacher in every barangay," the governor said after the groundbreaking ceremony of the new capitol building on Wednesday.
Evardone said that he believes students and their parents may have difficulty reading the modules and feels that it is necessary to have a special teacher to assist.
"There are really challenges that beset us with the COVID-19 threat."
He will also provide one photocopier and one personal computer in every district that will be supported by the LGUs in terms of printing materials and personnel.
The governor also cited other challenges that confront his leadership amid this COVID-19 threat.
But the governor said his leadership is ready to face the challenges head-on.
