Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

DepEd brings ‘Academic Panda’ to schools amid COVID-19

DUMAGUETE CITY, July 21 (PIA) -- The Department of Education (DepEd) of Dumaguete City Schools Division has introduced the so-called "Academic Panda" to ensure limited physical interaction between and among students and teachers amid the COVID pandemic.

City Schools Division Supt. Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde has confirmed that public schools will open classes for School Year 2020-2021 on Aug. 24, 2020 with an expected 22,483 student enrolees and still growing based on the records of the Deped’s online enrollment system.

In his presentation during the recent meeting of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases chaired by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Elejorde said this type of Panda application takes its cue from the Food Panda services that allow ordinary residents to order food and supplies from comfort and safety of their homes.

Academic Panda allows stakeholders to select from the school any services like school forms, learning materials, and others via its mobile applications as well as their websites too.

The Panda of the schools processes and sends orders directly to the concerned stakeholders.

Elejorde said that to ease the fears of COVID-19 transmission, learning will now be through online, modular or blended instructions and assessment.

Pure online learning can be delivered through systematic utilization of virtual interactions through Edmodo classroom and other platforms, which are preferred for students with internet subscription.

Modular learning involves reproduction of manuals, instructional and assessment materials in 280 kiosks throughout the city and in every school for students who have no smartphones nor electricity.

Blended learning, on the other hand, involves online instruction and reproduction of learning materials at the kiosks for easy collection and distribution for students with smartphones and use mobile data.

Elejorde informed the mayor that there is a significant increase in the number of enrollees as many students in the private schools have opted to transfer to the public schools.

It is estimated that the cost of logistics would amount to P21.1-M that includes reproduction costs of printed learning materials and manuals, kiosks (computers) and printers.

However, Project Teambayayong aims to cultivate partnerships, linkages and support from various stakeholders that can provide internet connection, computer sets, printers and other equipment to sustain the Materials Reproduction Kiosk (MRK) and ensure access to learning materials by learners throughout the academic year at a reduced cost. How To Make A Country Worship You

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

Ginusto Niyo 'Yan!

'Di kami nagkamali, we already expected those things to happen... You're making fun of our opinions pero 'di niyo magets na para 'yun sa ikabubuti ng lahat. Now, why so sudden bigla kayong nagreklamo? eh diba ginusto niyo 'yan, honestly dito samin nagsasabing nagsisisi sila sa naboto nila, for me hindi na kasalanan ng mga politiko na naloko nila kayo dahil there are so many evidences na. Pero all of you still chose to be fooled and deceived by them. But it's too late na eh nakaupo na sila sa pwesto na hindi nila deserve. Pero ito na lang... Let our response be, GINUSTO NIYO 'YAN!
