CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, July 15 (PIA)--Unless scheduled for home quarantine with the city government in advance, Kagay-anon arrivals are brought straight from the airports, port and land terminals straight to designated city isolation units like hotels, inns and pension houses, City Mayor Oscar Moreno said, July 14.
"We bring our locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) straight to accommodation establishments like hotels, inns and pension houses and not to converted barangay health centers, barangay halls, schools, tarpaulin covered courts and public gyms. As much as possible we prioritize their comfort," Moreno said.
The mayor also asked for patience and understanding from Kagay-anon arrivals who may have complaints on their accommodations saying,"We received complaints about toilets that were not cleaned and we ask for their understanding. City Hall teams were tasked to disinfect their rooms prior to check-in."
Moreno added that the hotel, inn, pension house staff didn't agree to clean up the rooms and designated City Hall teams follow specific disinfection procedures in compliance with established health safety protocols to avoid possible COVID-19 infection. (CIO/RTP)
