Why are Filipinos known for their lack of reading comprehension?

Because according to most of them: "Well-mannered is better than well-educated" That's why most of the Filipinos never progress. It is because of the trash mindset.

Cagayan PNP shares love to IP families in Gattaran town

Police Captain Sharon Mallillin explains to the IP-beneficiaries the importance of having a good relationship between the police and members of the community during the CPPO's gift-giving activity in Gattaran, Cagayan.

GATTARAN, Cagayan, July 19 (PIA) – The Agta community at barangay Naddungan in this town received grocery packs on Thursday from the Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO) for the second time.

The gift giving activity which is part of the celebration of the 25th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month benefited at least 65 IP families living in the area.

This year’s PCR Month theme is ‘Paigtingin Ugnayan ng Mamamayan at Pulisya Laban sa Covid-19 Pandemya’.

Police Captain Sharon Mallillin said that the duty of the PNP is not only to ensure that laws are implemented but also to look for the welfare of the ir fellowmen especially those vulnerable sectors in the province such as the IPs.

The activity, according to Mallillin, is one way to let the community feel the presence of the police and to build better relationship with the members of the community.

Arlyn Bacaycay, 43, one of the beneficiaries, said she’s grateful that the CPPO came back to fulfill their promise.

“Agyaman kami ah sir ta adda manen inted da[PNP]. Mayat sir ta adda kastuy[grocery pack] nga naited, sakto nga nayun nga usaren mi ta kastuy met napasamak nagrigat agtrabahu ita gapu jay sakit[COVID-19],” said Bacaycay.

(We are very grateful to PNP because they gave us another grocery pack. These grocery packs would augment our daily needs because during this pandemic, our livelihood was affected.)

The beneficiaries were also treated with a nutritious 'lugaw' which the CPPO hopes to sustain thru its feeding program activity.

The activity which was also supported by the Gattaran Police Station headed by its chief of police, PMaj Edwin P Aragon and RFSO 2 personnel led by PMaj Gary Matagay strictly observed minimum health standars such as physical distancing and wearing of face masks. (MDCT/PIA-2)

Bakit ba naeenganyo sila? Paniwalang paniwala sila. Basahin ang maikling kasagutan tungkol dito. It makes them feel special and different. It gives them a feeling of being better than others, of having their eyes opened to a 'truth' that others don't see. That's why some call non-believers 'sheeple.' I think it's similar to the feeling we get whenever we learn an obscure yet interesting piece of trivia. The thought of "No one else knows it!" I also think conspiracies appeal to the way humans think, especially now. A desire to search for patterns. There has to be reason and purpose for anything. But this is not right! I still blame the lack of the fundamental research skills that needs to be taught in school. I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.

How To Make A Country Worship You
