Angat Bayanihan Meeting Registration

Ngayong araw, nilulunsad namin ang #AngatBayanihan — ito ang ating VOLUNTEER PROGRAM sa Angat Buhay kung saan puwede kayong mag-ambag ng oras, talento, o kahit anong tulong para sa agarang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan.  Dito, puwede kang magsagawa ng iba’t ibang klase ng paglapit at pagtulong sa kapwa, lalo na para doon sa mga nakilala natin sa ating mga pag-iikot sa iba’t ibang parte ng Pilipinas.  Ilang halimbawa ng pagbabayanihan sa pamamagitan ng Angat Buhay ang agarang pagkilos ng volunteer groups sa Abra at Ilocos provinces na tumugon sa pangangailangan ng mga nasalanta ng lindol. Bago pa man iyan, nagsagawa rin ng relief operations ang ating magigiting na volunteers para sa apektado ng Banaue landslides. Nariyan din ang mga kabataan sa Maynila na magsasagawa ng kanilang medical mission sa komunidad. Benguet to ask DA to establish fund for agri produce 

 

Members of the Provincial Board tackle the proposed resolution authored by Board Member Nestor Fongwan Jr requesting the Department of Agriculture to establish a fund to buy agricultural produce from farmers when there is oversupply of production. (SCA-PIA-CAR, Benguet) 

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, July 26(PIA) - - The provincial government is asking the Department of Agriculture for the establishment of funds to compensate agricultural produce when there is oversupply of production.

The request for  establishment of fund  to buy agricultural produces like vegetables will help farmers in cases  there is oversupply   like during the imposition of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ)  due to  the COVID-19 pandemic when there was restriction in the movement of people and goods affecting the cut flower and vegetable industry. Said  fund  would stabilize the prices of vegetables in the market, according to Board Member Nestor Fongwan Jr who authored the resolution

The Board recognizes DA’s “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita Program” initiative which aims to link the various local government units in Metro Manila to farmer-producers in different parts of the country to ease the transport and delivery of commodities and encourage them to distribute nutritious food.The Kadiwa program helps the country’s local food producers find a stable market even during the quarantine period.

Aside from DA, local government units and private individuals had been buying vegetables  to help the farmers and at the same time share these to the needy even outside the province during the ECQ.

The resolution  would   be forwarded to DA Secretary William Dar for his favorable action.(JDP/SCA-PIA-CAR, Benguet)

I believe you get to have a full subject on your 4th year, but investigative skills and fact checking should be honed at a young age.
