Bambang brgy gets new vehicle

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 13(PIA) - The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Manamtam here recently received a vehicle to boost their emergency response activities.

Mayor Pepito Balgos said the vehicle was donated by the Matuno River Development Corporation (MRDC) to Barangay Manamtam through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

"This will be a big help for the BLGU of Manamtam, considering their inability to procure such vehicle. This vehicle will help them in their emergency response activities especially during disasters and calamities," Balgos said.

He said the MRDC serves as the major developer of the multi-million peso project which seeks to maximize the waters from the Matuno river for power and irrigation use.

Balgos added that barangay Manamtam was also declared as the town's emerging source of renewable energy during the turn-over program for the new vehicle led by Balgos, MRDC and other LGU officials.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
