PNP receives PPE donations from Embassy of Israel for police  frontliners

PASIG CITY, June 12 (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has received donations from the Embassy of Israel in the Philippines for use of police frontliners. 

The Israel Ambassador to the Philippines, Ambassador Rafael Harpaz, personally turned over personal protective equipment (PPE) to PNP Chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa in a simple ceremony held at the PNP National Headquarters in Quezon City on Wednesday.

According to the PNP, the donation includes surgical masks, N95 filtered face masks, gowns, shields, gloves and non-contact thermometer.

The PNP chief extended his gratitude to the Israeli Government for the donations that will enhance PNP's capability in protecting its personnel while battling COVID-19.

Gamboa said the PPEs and other medical supplies donated by Israel will help boost the capacity of PNP frontline workers in fulfilling their mandate of keeping the public safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added the donation is also a morale booster for the men and women in uniform.

Earlier, the Embassy of Israel also donated a sizeable number of medical equipment to the Department of National Defense for use of military medical personnel in the forefront against COVID-19. (PIA-NCR)

Pagbati sa mga itinalagang board members ng Angat Buhay na magsisilbing gabay at haligi ng organisasyon! Magsisilbing Chairperson ng Angat Buhay NGO si Atty. Leni Robredo; habang tatayo namang bilang President si Philip Francisco Dy. Si Raphael Martin Magno naman ang tatayong Executive Director ng organisasyon. Kabilang sa mga members of the board sina: Atty. Jose Christopher Belmonte; Joanne Baylon; Judith Azarcon-Marquez; Garrie David; Max Ventura; Rafael Lopa; at Raphael Martin Magno (Ex-officio).
