DAR Sec. Castriciones distributes farm inputs, CLOAs in Oriental Mindoro

DAR Secretary John R. Castriciones motivates farmer-beneficiaries to love the land they acquired from DAR’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) instead of selling it to others.

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, June 23 (PIA) – Sec. John R. Castriciones of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) led the distribution of agricultural productivity assistance/farm inputs (composed of seeds and fertilizers) and Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) to Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) of the municipality of Baco and in this city during the launching ceremony held at the Oriental Mindoro National High School (OMNHS) gymnasium on June 22.

According to Agrarian Reform Provincial Officer II Engr. Isagani G. Placido, more than P65,000 worth of productivity assistance will be distributed as part of the P2 million worth of assistance to 922 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in the entire province.

On the first part of the program, 30 ARBs from the town of Baco received certified seeds and fertilizers as input to their farm activities.  Of this number, 27 ARBs were from Brgy. Water, Baco and three came from Brgy. Bangkatan of the same town.

Ceremonial turn-over of fertilizers, rice and Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) held at OMNHS Gymnasium in Calapan City on June 22.

The number of recipient beneficiaries who were invited to attend the launching ceremony were limited to ensure the observance of social distancing.  However, DAR Provincial Office assured that farm inputs to other identified beneficiaries will be submitted immediately.  The following agricultural productivity assistance to be distributed are as follows: 30 bags of organic compost, 60 sachets of BIO-N, 30 sacks at 25 kgs. each of complete fertilizer, 150 sachets of okra seeds, 330 sachets of sitaw seeds, 60 sachets of tomato seeds, and 60 sachets of eggplant seeds.

Around P2,167 worth of productivity assistance will also be given to each ARB to be used in planting on a 500 square-meter lot per ARB.  These are composed of fertilizers and seeds.

The CLOAs were also distributed to qualified recipients of land titles during the launching.  Recipients of land titles were 55 ARBOs, comprising 93 hectares located in Calapan City and municipalities of San Teodoro and Naujan.

Castriciones encouraged farmer-beneficiaries who acquired land titles under the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) not to sell or transfer the land to anybody as this land would help uplift their lives with their children in the future. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)

How To Make A Country Worship You

Isang Pasasalamat

Sabi nila: “There’s always something to be thankful for.” Kaya ako din may sasabihin! 🀣✌️ Isang pasasalamat!
