SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya, June 9 (PIA) - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently launched its program to help Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Secretary John Castriciones personally launched the Agrarian Reform Bold Move for Deliverance of our Farmers from COVID-19 Pandemic (ARBOLD) at the Solano Pasalubong Center in Solano town.

The ARBOLD offers the following components or assistance: support to frontliners, agri-inputs, support for women and food pack distribution.
It was conceptualized to help farmers, particularly ARBs in dealing and coping up with the COVID-19 pandemic in their respective communities.
Castriciones, along with his undersecrataries and regional directors distributed initial sacks of fertilizers, feeds and packs of vegetables seeds to the ARBs of Quezon, Solano and Villaverde.
"This is our program to help our ARBs who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope these can provide them income as tehy are still coping up with the pandemic," he said.
Jimmy Sampaga, Senior Agrarian Reform Program Officer said the ARBOLD will also provide assistance to 15 women ARBs in the province with agro-enterprise projects with P15,000.00 each for their tools, seeds and fertilizers.
Earlier, the DAR provincial office also distributed 1,408 food packs and Personal Protective Equipments(PPEs) to ARBs in the province.
The food pakcs contained rice, canned goods, noodles, bath soap, reusable face masks. vitamin C, eco bag and sando bag .
Sampaga further said that the ARBOLD targets 11,151 ARBs in Cagayan Valley .(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
