TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, June 14 (PIA) - - -Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) chief Dr. Glenn Mathew Baggao said the COVID-19 Testing Center structure is now 70-80% completed and will open any time this month.

Once operationalized, Baggao said the testing center is expected to open 24 hours and can test up to 300 to 400 specimens everyday.
The hospital chief added that once the construction is completed, their manpower is ready as six Medical Technologists from the center have finished their six-day training at Baguio General Hospital.
Baggao said they are hiring now 25 more medical technologists who will be trained by the first batch of trained MedTech at the CVMC.
Aside from Medtechs, Baggao said they are also hiring two Medical Specialist II, 10 Administrative Assistants II and eight Laboratory Technicians to be assigned at the COVID-19 Testing Center (Molecular Laboratory).
With these number of manpower, Baggao said more specimens will be catered for testing and results will be known immediately compared to the previous months where specimens are brought to Baguio General Hospital.
