CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, June 13 (PIA) – The City of Ilagan government opened another quarantine facility for returning Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) at its Community Center.
This after the city's four existing quarantine facilities have already reached maximum number of LSIs and OFWs who returned in the city since the city government rolled out its Balik City of Ilagan program.
City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz said the opening of a new quarantine facility is necessary to ensure that all returning Ilagueños will undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine before they will be sent back to their homes ready for immersion.
“We decided to use the city's Community Center as an additional quarantine facility to accommodate the incoming LSIs and OFWs as the existing quarantine facilities are already full,” diaz said.
This capital city of Isabela remains to be COVID-19-free as of writing. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
