The Nurses' Black-Out Campaign 2011

Main Objectives: To utilize social media as a tool for nurses' rights awareness building; To initiate social & mass mobilizations in relation to the protection of nurses' rights; To garner online & non-online support from individuals, organizations and communities to end all forms of discrimination and abuse to nurses in the workplaces and communities. Rationale: In 2010, the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission, head agency for all the professionals in the country stated that there is already close to 200,000 unemployed and underemployed professional registered nurses in the country. And with the recently concluded December 2010 Nurse Licensure Examinations, the Philippines will be expecting more than 20,000 additional new nurses joining the unemployed sector. This rapidly growing concern of the nurses is now a crisis in the country. The Philippines is the top producer of export nurses and supplies the nursing shortage to many foreign countries but ironi

My Minute Maid Pulpy Story

I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe... it's your time to grab the "pulpiest" bottled juice on earth. I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added.  So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED!  That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens!  Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I... know that the "pulpiest" Minute Maid will surely catch your taste. So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right?  Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means... that Minute Maid, the "pulpiest" bottled juice, is the safest and healthiest juice drink for all. So far anyone who still has a hard time believing th

You-nique!

Cookie cutters are for cookies– not humans. It’s a crummy way to live anyway–looking exactly the same as everyone else. Be the unique person that you were created to be. Stop conforming to the ways of the cattle-class. Swim upstream. Run away from the pack, because I can assure you that the view in front will always be the same. Break out and be who you were born to become –majestic, magnificent, masterful and mold- free. Don ’t aspire to be anyone but you–unique you–yes truly you-nique.
